10th - 11th June, Café Royal, Central LondonGreen is the new black, it would seem. With many organisations now trying to "out-green" the competition, we are rapidly running into the problem seen with most bandwagons - just how real are some of the messages coming from the vendors? All hi-tech companies, on both sides of the Atlantic, continue to scramble over themselves to develop green technologies that are more energy efficient and have the feel-good effect of reducing carbon emissions. Green IT remains something of a chameleon that appeals to different users on different levels. From the highest level, it's difficult to knock the benefits of energy efficiency, recycling and vendors working in collaboration with users to promote the green agenda. However, many users are finding it difficult to adopt technologies that, to date are not characterised by a wide selection of physical products they can buy and implement in their IT infrastructures today.
Alongside the formal agenda, there will be ample opportunities to network and share experiences with others at this relaxing venue. This years NCC Annual Conference will focus on the 'Green IT and IT Sustainability'.
